Floral Berry Flower – Free Crochet Pattern
The Floral Berry Flower is a pretty pattern made to brighten your day and your project. This is a beautiful flower and quick to make. If you’re new to crochet, I have a step-by-step video tutorial to help you along. Plus, this is a great stash buster project and fun to experiment with different colors.

Looking to embellish a bag or a hat, this pattern is perfect. Start by making a circle and then branch out at the end with the petals.
I used Red Heart With Love for this square in colors White, Daffodil, Hot Pink, Blushing Peach, Lilac, and a size J/10 6mm crochet hook. You can use any colors and hook size you like.
In just a few short rounds you’ll have a beautiful flower. Check out that pop of lilac inside the petals.

hdc – half double crochet

Special Stitches
bst – berry stitch: insert hook in indicated st, yo, pull through, chain 3, yo, pull through both loops on hook. (1 bst). See video HERE.
shdc – standing half double crochet: yo, insert hook in indicated stitch, yo, pull through, yo, pull through 3 loops on hook (1 shdc). See video HERE.
ssc – standing single crochet: insert hook in indicated stitch, yo, pull through, yo, pull through 2 loops on hook. (1 ssc). See video HERE.

General Notes
- Start each new color with a slip knot on hook.
- Crochet over your ends or weave in after each Round.
- Stitch counts are in brackets ( ) at the end of each Round.
- Stitches in brackets [ ] indicate a stitch pattern sequence, followed by number of times (X) to repeat them, and to work all stitches into same stitch or space.
Color (Hot Pink)
Round 1: Ch 4 (counts as 1 dc, 1 ch), 11 dc in 1st ch, sl st to top of beg ch-4. (12 dc, 1 sl st).
Round 2: Ch 1, sc in same st, ch 1, *sc in next st, ch 1*, end with sl st to beg st. (12 sc, 12 ch-1 sps, 1 sl st). Measures 2 ½ in.
Color (Blushing Peach)
Round 3: Ssc in any sc st, *bst in next ch-1 sp, sc in next st*, end with bst in last ch-1 sp, sl st to beg st. (12 bst, 12 sc, 1 sl st). Measures 3 in.
Color (White)
Round 4: Ssc in any sc st, *ch 2, sk 1 st, sc in next st*, end with ch 2, sl st to beg st. (12 sc, 12 ch-2 sps, 1 sl st). Measures 3 ½ in.
Color (Daffodil)
Round 5: Shdc in any ch-2 sp, dc, hdc in same ch-2sp, *[hdc, dc, hdc] in next ch-2 sp around, end with sl st to beg st. (12 petals – 24 hdc, 12 dc, 1 sl st). Measures 4 ¼ in.
Color (Lilac
Round 6: Sl st to 1st hdc in any petal, *ch 2, dc in next st, ch 2, sl st in next 2 sts*, repeat *-* around, end with sl st to end with sl st in beg sl st. (24 ch-2, 12 dc, 25 sl sts). Measures 5 ¼ in.
Color (Hot Pink)
Round 7: Sl st to 1st hdc in any petal of Rnd 5, *ch 3, 3 sc in next dc st, ch 3, sl st to Rnd 5 hdc, sl st in next hdc in Rnd 5*, repeat *-* around, end with sl st in beg sl st in Rnd 5.
(36 sc, 24 ch-3, 25 sl sts). Measures 6 in.
