Double Crochet Cluster V-Stitch

This stitch is made by partially completing two double crochet stitches and then closing them together, add a chain, and then repeat again all in the same stitch or space. This tutorial is made in rows, working back and forth. It’s a one row repeat and is very fun to make.
The stitch can be called a few different names such as a shell stitch, cluster v-stitch, lace shell, or double crochet 2 together. There are several variations and names that refer to this.
Tips:
- The amount of stitches on the ends of your project may differ, causing the multiple to be different. Refer to the individual pattern for the stitch count that you need to begin with.
- Use the corresponding crochet hook for the size of yarn you’re working with.
- This makes a reversible fabric, the front and back look the same.
- Shown using a chain one between clusters, you could add two or three chains between clusters too.
You will need the following supplies:
Any yarn and corresponding crochet hook.
