Simple Spa Cloth Collection #8 – Tunisian Crochet Pattern
The Simple Spa Cloth Collection is designed to make beautiful matching cloths using the Tunisian knit and cross stitches. This is a good way to learn new stitches while repeating them. This eighth cloth in the collection features textured stitches, which results in a beautiful fabric. It’s easy to make, but looks difficult. Make these as a gift for someone special.

I recommend to start off by making the wash cloth first. That way you can make one from beginning to end and feel accomplished right away. Next, move onto the large cloth to complete the set.
I’m in love with the handmade soaps, while at home during the quarantine, my daughter and I made our first batch of rose soaps. It was fun as we experimented with colors and rose petals. You can check out the video tutorial here.
This set is made by using a combination of two Tunisian stitches, knit stitch and cross stitch. I love the result of this as it reminds me of mini vertical cables with chains going horizontally underneath them. This ombre yarn changes colors and the stitches really pop out on this cloth.
Here is a look at the back of the both cloths below. It has rows of ridges going across.

In the photo above, can you spot my mistake? I hadn’t noticed it until I took a photo of the back of it. But I can really see it here, I’ll give you a hint, it’s below the flower. I made 2 rows of knit instead of alternating. But I’m going to leave it as is, I think it still looks great. Have fun with your crochet! Don’t let it stress you out, even if you make a mistake.
I hope you enjoy this pattern.
