Broomstick Lace Wildflower Scarf – Free Crochet Pattern
The Broomstick Lace Wildflower Scarf is a beautiful scarf made in colorful yarn with a textured design. The unusual and repetitive stitching is fun to make as you use a knitting needle and a crochet hook to make it. Finish it off with the fringe tassels on the ends so there are no tails to weave in! This scarf is very fun to make and includes a video tutorial on how to make the stitch. There are no color changes in this as the yarn changes colors and makes it look harder to make than it really is. The color work is done for you by this beautiful yarn called Roll With It Tweed by Red Heart. It has blue, teal, purple, pink, and yellow in it, simply gorgeous colors.
My contribution is the Wildflower Scarf – A Free Crochet Pattern – to the fourth annual Scarf of the Month Club CAL with Rhondda from Oombawka Design and Amy from The Stitchin’ Mommy.
The scarf can be worn in several ways, but my personal favorite is pictured here. Fold the scarf in half, wrap it around your neck and put the ends through the fold. Tighten it around your neck where it is comfortable, and that’s how I draped it here.

I chose a larger crochet hook in size “K” or 6.50 mm, and a large knitting needle in size “50” or 25.0 mm to make this scarf. It works up rather quickly with the thicker yarn and larger size tools.
