Succulent Flower Blanket – Free Crochet Pattern
The Succulent Flower Blanket is made in the crochet Trinity Stitch. It resembles rows of continuous flowers. Made in a super bulky yarn for a warm, cozy, and quick make. Scroll down for the written instructions and a video tutorial on this pretty stitch.

An easy stitch pattern that results in a flower design. Can be made in any size yarn and hook for lots of different looks and sizes.
I used Bernat Blanket yarn for this pattern, it’s a super bulky #6 weight yarn and a large size 10.00 mm US/N crochet hook.

Skill Level: Intermediate
Size: 29” Wide x 62” Long
Supplies:
Cotton Yarn: Yarnspirations, Bernat Blanket, Color Smokey Green, 4 Skeins
Hook: US/N – 10.00 mm
Scissors
Tape Measure
Yarn needle
Gauge/Size: 6 rows X 4 TS = 4 inches
Abbreviations: In US Terminology
beg – beginning
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
st(s) – stitch(es)
yo – yarn over
Special Stitch:
ts: Trinity Stitch – pull up loop in indicated st, pull up loop in next 2 sts, 4 loops on hook, yo, pull through, ch 1 loosely. See Video Tutorial HERE.
Notes:
- Written In US terminology.
- Worked in rows.
- Stitch counts are in brackets ( ) at the end of each Row.
- Multiple of odd # of sts + 1.
- Made lengthwise, to increase width, add more to beg chains.
Instructions
Ch 58
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, *pull up loop in same st, pull up loop in next 2 sts, 4 loops on hook, yo, pull through, ch 1 loosely*, repeat *-* across, do not ch-1 on last st, sc in last st. ( 28 ts, 2 sc).
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in 1st st, *pull up loop in same st, pull up loop in next 2 sts, 4 loops on hook, yo, pull through, ch 1 loosely*, repeat *-* across, do not ch-1 on last st, sc in last st. ( 28 ts, 2 sc).
Rows 3-92: Repeat Row 2 until desired length.
Edging:
Row 1: Ch 1, turn, *1 sc in each st across, 3 sc in corner*, repeat *-* around, end with sl st to beg sc.
Row 2: Sl st loosely in each st around. End off yarn, weave in all ends.

As I was trying to come up with a name for this pattern, I realized that my blanket was surrounded by my “succulent” plants, and since this stitch resembles a flower, I combined the two to Succulent Flower Blanket. Plus it was made in this pretty green, so it just seemed to fit perfectly.
