Easy Linked Ear Warmer Free Crochet Pattern
The Easy Linked Ear Warmer is a warm and sturdy accessory to keep your ears warm. It is made with a variation of the double crochet stitch and a chain stitch to make this pretty fabric. The incredible texture adds to the beauty of this thick fabric it makes. Includes a video on the linked double crochet stitch if you’re new to this stitch.

A surprisingly easy and very beautiful stitch.
A one row repeat makes all these pretty loops.
The yarn in this is Red Heart With Love in the colors Aran, Iced Aqua and Tangerine. Works up quickly and has a lot of texture.
Easy Linked Ear Warmer
Skill Level: Easy
Sizes:
Small: 3” x 16.5” in Aran
Medium: 3.75” x 18.5” in Iced Aqua
Large: 4.5” x 20” in Tangerine
Supplies:
Yarn: Red Heart With Love, #4 medium, 100% acrylic, 198 g/7 oz, 338 meters/370 yards; Colors: Aran 70 yds, Iced Aqua 95 yds, Tangerine 110 yds
Hook: H/8 – 5.00 mm
Yarn needle
Gauge: 7 rows X 13 sts = 4 inches
Abbreviations: In US Terminology
beg – beginning
ch – chain
ldc – linked double crochet
RS – right side
st(s) – stitch(es)
X – times
yo – yarn over
Notes:
1. Worked in Rows, a one Row repeat.
2. Stitch counts are in brackets ( ) at the end of each Row.
3. To increase size, add more to beginning chains, stitch multiple = any + 2 chains.
Instructions – in US terms
Ch 12 (14, 16)
Row 1: Insert hook into 2nd ch from hook, yo, pull up a loop, insert hook in next ch, yo, pull up a loop, [yo, pull through 2 loops on hook] 2X, *insert hook into horizontal bar of previous st just made, yo, pull up a loop, insert hook into next ch, yo, pull up a loop, [yo, pull through 2 loops on hook] 2X*, repeat *-* across. (10, (12,14) ldc).
Row 2: Ch 2, insert hook into 2nd ch from hook, yo, pull up a loop, turn, insert hook in next st, yo, pull up a loop, [yo, pull through 2 loops on hook] 2X, *insert hook into horizontal bar of previous st just made, yo, pull up a loop, insert hook into next st, yo, pull up a loop, [yo, pull through 2 loops on hook] 2X*, repeat *-* across. (10, (12,14) ldc).
Rows 3-30 (32,34): Repeat Row 2, or until desired length to fit around your head.
End off yarn, leave a 14″ tail for seaming.
SEAMING

Lay fabric out flat with RS facing up. Fold each end towards the center of the fabric. Then fold one end in half and next, fold the other end in half. Slide the two folded ends together and even out the stitches. It should have four edges lined up. Using the long tail from above, thread it on the yarn needle and sew the four edges together. End off yarn, weave in ends. Turn fabric RS out.
