How To Crochet The Shell Stitch

In this video tutorial I’ll show you how to crochet the Shell Stitch. This makes a pretty fabric perfect for blankets, hats and ear warmers or any project needing a classic crochet stitch.
This stitch can be made with any size yarn and corresponding crochet hook. If the yarn is lighter weight, it will result in a smaller fabric, and if it is a bulky weight, it will result in a larger fabric. This is a worsted weight #4 yarn with a size H crochet hook.

Supplies:
Red Heart With Love, color Light Grey
Furls Crochet Hook: US H/8, 5.00 mm
Scissors
Stitch Markers
Yarn needle
Abbreviations & Stitches used: In US Terminology
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
sk – skip
sc – single crochet
st(s) – stitch(es)
yo – yarn over
TIPS:
- Can be made in any size yarn weight for different projects.
- Made in Rows, turn after each row.
- A two Row repeat.
- Makes a reversible fabric.
