Flower Burst Square – Free Crochet Pattern
The Flower Burst Square resembles a flower with bursts of rays coming from the center. This 12 inch square features surface crochet and texture made with popcorns, picots, and post stitches to give it this effect. There is a video tutorial to go along with the free crochet pattern.

The Joy Creators got together and made a 12 inch square all in the same yarn and colors. Then they were joined together and made into a blanket. This was such a fun project, we thought it would be a really fun crochet along. There are lots of squares to choose from, I hope you’ll join in. Get all the links on Marly’s blog.
It’s made with Chic Sheep Yarn by Marly Bird with Red Heart . The colors we used are Linen, Suede, and VIP. This was a wedding shower gift for one of the girls at Red Heart Yarns that recently got married and is part of the Joy Creators Wedding Blanket Crochet Along, hosted on Mary Bird.
I really like this yarn and have used it on several other designs, the Chic Fingerless Gloves, and the Chic Sheep Cowl. It’s a Merino Wool in a #4 weight.
