Stitches Used:
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
tks – Tunisian knit stitch
tps – Tunisian purl stitch
tss – Tunisian simple stitch
Special Stitches:
Tunisian Simple Stitch (tss):
(A)-Forward Pass: Insert hook from right to left under vertical bar, yo, pull up a loop. (1 tss)
Tunisian Knit Stitch (tks):
(A)-Forward Pass: Insert hook from front to back between front and back vertical bars, yo, pull up a loop. (1 tks)
Tunisian Purl Stitch (tps):
(A)-Forward Pass: Place working yarn in front of hook, insert hook from right to left under vertical bar, yo, pull up a loop. (1 tps)
Notes:
1. Worked in the Round.
2. Use double ended crochet hook.
3. Turn your work when hook gets too full to comfortably make another stitch.
4. Right Side (RS); Wrong Side (WS).
Additional Notes:
Yarn Placement: To keep the yarn from tangling, I place Color A on the left side of my work and Color B on the right side of my work. Working with two yarns, one going forward, Color A (RS), picking up the stitches onto your hook, and Color B (WS) finishing the stitch, or Round, and taking stitches off the hook.
Turning: To turn your work, bring left hook towards you, turn until it’s on the right, work Return Pass (WS) with left hook. Leave 3 stitches on your hook. Then bring right hook towards you, turn until it’s on the left, work Forward Pass (RS) with left hook. Keep turning in this direction throughout the pattern and your yarn will not tangle up.
Pattern Repeat: When beginning Round 3, place a tps in previous Round tss, and a tss in next tps. Keep placing the opposite stitch in the previous Round stitch, alternating 1 tss, 1 tps, throughout.
