Floaty Poncho – Crochet Pattern
The Floaty Poncho is a lacy crochet pattern made in cotton yarn that is perfect for layering. It’s great to throw over shorts and tank top, jeans and t-shirt, or dress it up for an elegant evening out, and it’s on the cover of Simply Crochet Magazine!

Here is the cover of Simply Crochet, Issue 85. It’s available Summer of 2019, and is full of really nice projects.
This mint green poncho is made with Rico Baby Soft Cotton Yarn in the color Emerald. It’s like the name says, so soft! The yarn weight is #3 and I used a size F (3.75 mm) crochet hook.
Green is one of my favorite colors, so when I found out the color, I was thrilled! This pattern is written in UK terms.

This poncho has a lot of drape and can be made in other sizes, included in the pattern. I love the circle pattern the lace makes in this pattern. It’s an easy repeat once you have it and works up rather quickly.
Shown in the magazine with lovely fringe! I added just a little on one side, but if you’re not a fringe person, you simply don’t add that on.
