Easy C2C Dream Blanket – Free Crochet Pattern
The Easy C2C Dream Blanket is so beautiful and super soft. It’s rather quick to crochet and is worked on the diagonal corner-to-corner method. Finish off the edges with the two color chain loop edging for a stunning blanket.

The yarn is Red Heart Fleece Hugs in two colors: Peaceful Plum and Blue Jay. I also used a solid white yarn in Red Heart Comfort held together with the Fleece Hugs yarn to make the body of this throw. The crochet hook is a size “K” to give it some drape.
I found that the Fleece Hugs yarn is on the thinner side of a #4 weight. By adding a strand of Comfort yarn to the Fleece Hugs yarn, it gives the it a little stability, while still keeping the ultra soft feel of it. This adds a white marble effect to the design, just hold them together and start your project.

Round 1: *3 hdc in each ch 3 loop across, 3 hdc in corner, 3 hdc in end of each row across, 3 hdc in corner, repeat from * around, end with sl st to beg hdc. Do NOT end off yarn.
Note: use two colors on Round 2 of edging. Untwist the yarn every couple of stitches to keep it separated and easier to work with. The current Color on the hook is worked in front of the dropped color. See video below for stitch tutorial, note that in step #6 below, you will skip 1 stitch.
Color D (Grey) & E (White)
Round 2:
Set up first 2 sts:
- Color E (White) ch 5, drop loop off hook.
- Attach Color D (Grey) to next st with a sl st, ch 5, drop loop off hook.
- Put Color E (White) loop back on hook.
- Sl st in next st (after Grey), ch 5, drop loop off hook.
- Put Color D (Grey loop back on hook).
- Skip 1 st, sl st in next st, ch 5, drop loop off hook.
Continue around edging, keeping the same sequence around the corners:
7. Repeat steps 3-6 around, alternating each color.
8. The last Color E (White) loop is worked in the last open st. To finish the last Color D (Grey) loop, sl st into the base of the first Color D (Grey) loop.
End off yarn, weave in ends.
End of Pattern.
