I started the design process at the beach recently for a Tunisian crochet version and really love how it turned out. The design came together quickly for an ear warmer. The twist is very fashionable and comfortable to wear too. And once it was completed, I wanted to make a knit version too.
I love the look of this twist on the front. It’s simple to make and I have a video demonstrating how to make it.

Here is a look at the back of the ear warmer. I love the alternating boxes of stitches.
This attractive twist is made by sewing the two edges together which is actually the seam. The rest of the ear warmer is seamless. I try to design so there are no visible seams, whenever possible.

I enjoyed making this in a chunky yarn and larger needles. It’s great for a beginner. You can also make it in a worsted weight and go down a size or two for your needles.
I hope you enjoy this pattern.
