Star Line Beanie – Free Crochet Pattern
The Star Line Beanie is a nice combination of star stitches and basic crochet stitches to make this interesting fabric. The lines and ridges adds to the beauty of this hat. Includes a video on the star stitch if you’re new to this technique.

The yarn in this is Red Heart Super Saver Ombre in the color True Blue. It is a generous skein that contains various shades of blue. This hat doesn’t take too much yarn, so it’s basically in one shade from the skein. This would look great in multi-colored stripes or a variegated yarn too.
This Star Line Beanie is part of the Hat of the Month hosted by Oombawka Design Crochet and The Stitchin Mommy for the month of December! Check out the matching Star Line Cowl pattern too.

SEAMING
Thread the long tail on a yarn needle, weave through the top or crown of the hat to form a circle. Pull the stitches together tightly to close the top. Make a knot to secure, continue to line up Row 1 to Row 40, matching up the stitches as best you can. Use the remaining tail (same yarn) to whip stitch the two sides together, going from the top of the hat to the brim. End off yarn, weave in ends.
End of Pattern.
