How To Crochet The Star Stitch

In this video tutorial I’ll show you how to crochet the Star Stitch. This makes a pretty fabric perfect for blankets, hats and ear warmers.
This stitch can be made with any size yarn and corresponding crochet hook. If the yarn is lighter weight, it will result in a smaller fabric, and if it is a bulky weight, it will result in a larger fabric.

Star Stitch
Skill Level: Easy
Supplies:
Red Heart With Love, color Lilac
Furls Crochet Hook: US H/8, 5.00 mm
Scissors
Stitch Markers
Yarn needle
Abbreviations & Stitches used: In US Terminology
ch – chain
hdc – half double crochet
sp(s) – space(s)
st(s) – stitch(es)
TIPS:
- Can be made in any size yarn weight for different projects.
- Made in Rows, turn after each row.
- Count your loops on your hook to make sure you have six before closing the star.
- Requires two Rows to complete one Star Stitch.
