This pillow is part of the Hygge Home Crochet Along hosted by Marie of Underground Crafter! There are 10 designers who will bring you a new free crochet pattern each week from 1/14/19 – 3/25/19. You can get all the information on Marie’s blog about the schedule and giveaways planned for this fun event.
The yarn I used is by Red Heart and is called Hygge yarn. It has little soft fibers coming off it which is perfect to add more coziness to your projects. Hygge is pronounced hoo-gah, which comes from the Danish concept that means a feeling of cozy contentment and well-being through enjoying the simple things in life.
The color I chose is called Pearl (I love pearls). I love off white and cream colors , they feel peaceful to me. I also included other things in my photos that make me feel content like candles, sea shells, my fur blanket, and greenery. These are things that make me feel Hygge and are right for me. This may be different for you though. Choose colors and things that bring you joy to have around in your home. I hope this pattern brings you comfort while making it and that you’ll enjoy the pillow for years to come.

SEAMING:
Place both pieces together with the wrong sides facing each other, (popcorns are on the inside). Line up the stitches and use stitch markers to hold them in place. I put them on at the popcorn stitch section.
Place 1 sc in each stitch around 3 sides of the pillow, placing 3 sc in each corner.
Turn your fabric right side out so the popcorns are on the outside.
Place your pillow form inside.
Using your yarn needle, whip stitch the top together, going through the inside loops of the stitches from your hdc sts. End off yarn, weave in ends.
End of Pattern.
