Alpine Stitch Wash Cloth – Free Crochet Pattern
The Alpine Stitch Wash Cloth is a beautifully textured stitch for a wash cloth. Both sides have wonderful texture and you can decide which side you want as the front. Scroll down for the written instructions and a video tutorial on this pretty stitch.

The wash cloth set is made using a combination of basic crochet stitches, the double and single crochet, along with the more intermediate stitch, the front post double crochet. This gives it amazing texture.
For the large wash cloth I used Sugar’n Cream yarn, in the color Warm Brown. It’s a #4 weight medium yarn and a size 5.00 mm H/8 crochet hook.
For the small wash cloth I used Bernat, Softee Baby Cotton yarn, in the color Cotton. It’s a #3 weight yarn and a size 5.00 mm H/8 crochet hook.
