Seamist Infinity Scarf – Free Crochet Pattern
This beautiful Seamist Infinity scarf is unbelievably soft against your skin, made with Red Heart Fur and Red Heart Chunky Soft yarn. This versatile infinity scarf can be worn as a scarf, as a shoulder wrap, or left long for that dramatic look!

The Chunky Soft yarn is a bulky (#5) soft acrylic yarn that comes in 8 beautiful colors. The thicker yarn weight makes it a great choice to work up this fast project. The Fur yarn is also a bulky weight (#7) and is so luxurious and soft. It is the perfect edging for the scarf.

Skill level: Intermediate
Size: 70” long x 7” wide
Yarn: Red Heart Chunky Soft, 2 skeins, Color A – Off White E844
Red Heart Boutique Fur, 2 skeins, Color B – Seamist E831
Supplies: Yarn needle
Hook: 15.0 mm
Gauge: 3 pattern repeats and 4 rows = 4 inches
Stitch Abbreviations: US terms:
ch – chain;
dc – double crochet;
sl st – slip stitch;
st(s) – stitch(es)
Shell: 2 dc in same stitch
Notes: Chain 4 counts as 1 dc and ch 1 throughout.
Pattern starts here:
Color A
Chain 22, turn.
Row 1: 2 dc in 7th ch from hook, ch 1, *skip 2 sts, Shell in next st, ch 1*, repeat *-* across, ending with skip 2 sts, 1 dc in last st. (5 shells).
Row 2: Ch 4, turn. *Shell in center of previous row Shell, ch 1*, repeat across, ending with skip 1 st, 1 dc in next st. (5 shells).
Row 3-70: Repeat Row 2 for 70 rows total, or until desired length. End off yarn, leaving a long tail for seaming.
Seaming:
Lay fabric out flat, fold in half, bring up the two ends together.
Twist one end and line up the stitches with the other end.
Thread yarn needle with long tail. Match up Shell stitches and Ch 1 spaces, whip stitch ends together.
Weave in ends.
Fur Edging:
Color B
Round 1: Working in spaces of row ends, sl st fur around entire scarf. Note that you will be lining both sides of the scarf with fur when you complete one round. Sl st to beg sc. End off yarn, weave in ends.
Optional size – Cowl:
Follow same pattern as for scarf, but stop at approximately Row 25 to 30. You can measure it around your neck to see where you want the cowl to sit comfortably. Makes a great pop of color to your outfit, and keeps your neck warm too.
