Skill level: Intermediate
Size: 14″ long x 5″ wide
Yarn: Caron Cakes – color Faerie – 1 skein
Supplies: Yarn needle
Hook: 5.00 mm [US H-8]
Gauge: 14 sts and 12 rows = 4 inches
Stitch Abbreviations – US terms:
ch – chain
hdc – half double crochet
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
Worked in the round and in back third loop only throughout.
I used one Caron Cake skein of yarn by starting at the center of the skein for the first leg warmer. For the second leg warmer, I started with the outside of the skein to get the colors of each leg warmer to match. You may want to buy 2 skeins to make sure you have the same amount of colors for both leg warmers.
*To alter the size of the leg warmers, make a chain long enough to fit around the widest part of your calf. To do this, take both ends of the chain and have them meet together at the widest part of your calf without stretching the stitches. Count how many chains that is and use that as your starting number of chains for both leg warmers.
Pattern starts here: Make 2
Chain 36 (*or your starting number of chains) Sl st together to form a circle, careful not to twist stitches.
Round 1 (RS): Ch 2, 1 hdc in each ch (36 hdc).
Round 2-45: 1 hdc in back third loop of each stitch (36 hdc).
When you’ve reached your desired length, to end off, 1 sc in next 2 stitches, 1 slip st in next 2 stitches.
End off, weave in ends.
