Simple Spa Cloth Collection #1 – Tunisian Crochet Pattern
The Simple Spa Cloth Collection is designed to make beautiful matching cloths using Tunisian Crochet stitches. This is a good way to learn new stitches while repeating the stitching and rhythm of it. This first cloth in the collection features two different stitches that combined makes rows of ridges. It’s easy to make, but looks difficult. Make these as a gift for yourself or someone special.

Start off by making the wash cloth first. That way you can make one from beginning to end and feel accomplished right away. Next, move onto the large cloth to complete the set.
The idea of creating a spa cloth collection stems from a set of beautiful handmade soaps a friend made for me. I’ll be using them in some of the photos to showcase them throughout the series.
Wow, look at his handmade heart soap! It’s a lavender color and smells like Freesias! I recently went to a reunion with friends I used to work with many years ago. It was like we hadn’t missed a day, and I discovered that one of my friends is making soaps. It sparked the whole spa collection, I hope you enjoy it.
Here is a look at the back of the cloth. I love the way this looks!

I used the new Furls Tunisian crochet hook for this project. The yarn glides gently along the hook and is a pleasure to use. The two different woods are beautiful together.

When taking the photos, I clipped a piece off one of my succulent plants to include with the cloths. I love the rich green color in this plant.
This stitch combination makes a little ridge on the right side. It makes it look a lot more difficult than it really is.
