In this video tutorial I’ll show you how to crochet together a bag made of granny squares in the join as you go method. It is fun to watch it take shape and before you know it, it is done.
This design can be made with any size yarn and corresponding crochet hook. If the yarn is lighter weight, it will result in a smaller bag, and if it is a bulky weight, it will result in a larger one. This is a worsted weight #4 yarn with a size H crochet hook. I used Red Heart With Love in the following colors: Boysenberry, Bluebell, Aubergine, Blush, Light Grey, and Lettuce.
A granny square is one of the first things a new crocheter learns how to make. In this tutorial, learn how to join as you go to complete this pretty purse.
