Fiesta Crochet Shawl – Free Crochet Pattern
The Fiesta Crochet Shawl is a free crochet pattern that is a vibrant colorful shawl made in thread yarn with a lacy design. The easy and repetitive stitching is comforting as you crochet along. This shawl is versatile in the ways you can wear it, as a shawl with the ends in front, or wrapped around your neck like a scarf, or with a brooch on one side. You can change the look of it by the way you wear it.
The yarn I used is from Red Heart and is called It’s A Wrap Rainbow in the color Fiesta. The colors in this are lovely, starting at the top of the shawl in a pretty turquoise, and changing to a green, and then yellow, next a bright orange color, and finally ending with the red edging. The yarn changes color and does all the color work for you!

I chose to make this shawl in a larger hook to give it a lot of drape and flow.

Row 1: 1 dc in 5th ch from hook (counts as 2 dc), *ch 3, sk 5 sts, [2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc] in next st*, end with ch 3, sk 5 sts, 1 dc in last 2 sts. (36 ch-3 sps, 35 dc shells, 4 dc).
Row 2: Ch 3, turn, 1 dc in next 2 sts, *ch 2, sc in ch-3 sp, ch 2, [2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc] in ch-1 sp*, repeat *-*, end with ch 2, sc in ch-3 sp, ch 2, 1 dc in last 2 sts.
