Crochet Rose Cup Cozy – Free Crochet Pattern
The Crochet Rose Cup Cozy is really pretty and fun to make. Quickly make this easy sleeve using small amounts of yarn. Add one or several roses to the front, it’s easy to customize in your favorite colors, and they are great gifts for family and friends!

Crochet Rose Cup Cozy:
Skill Level: Intermediate
Size: 2 ½ “ wide x 5” tall, Laying flat
Supplies:
Yarn: Cotton Yarn: #4 worsted weight – (A) Off White
Lion Brand Oh Baby Organic Cotton Yarn: #2 Fine weight – (B) Coral, (C) Pink Rose
Hook: 5.00 mm, H/8
Hook: 3.75 mm, F/5
Stitch Markers
Yarn Needle for weaving in the ends
Gauge/Size: not critical to design
Abbreviations: In US Terminology
beg – beginning
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
hdc – half double crochet
fsc – foundation single crochet
sc – single crochet
sk – skip
sl st – slip stitch
sp(s) – space(s)
st(s) – stitch(es)
Notes:
- Written In US terminology.
- Worked in continuous Rounds, do not join.
- Stitch count at the end of each row indicated inside ( ).
- Right Side is always facing.
- Can begin Row 1 with 30 Fsc in place of Ch 31 & sc in each stitch across.
Instructions:
Cozy: Color (A), H Hook
Ch 31
Round 1: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in each st across. (30 sc). Place stitch marker at beg of Round, move up after each Round.
Note: Form a circle with Round 1, careful not to twist sts.
Rounds 2-9: 1 sc in each st around. (30 sc).
Round 10: 1 sc in each st around to beg st, 1 sl st in next 2 sts. (30 sc, 2 sl st).
End off yarn, weave in end. Using beg tail and yarn needle, sew the first and last sts together on Round 1.
Note: Work into bottom of sts of Round 1, leave 6” tail to begin & end Round 11 to make the bow later.
Round 11: 1 sc in each st around. (30 sc). End off yarn.
Note: Round 11 now being the top of the cozy to make the bow.
Bow:
Using both tails of Round 11, weave them through to the RS of the work with 1 sc between them, make a knot. Then make a small bow and trim the ends.

Large Rose: Make 1
Color (B), F Hook
Ch 30
Row 1: 1 dc in 6th ch from hook, *ch 2, sk 1 ch, 1 dc in next st*, repeat *-* across. (14 dc, 13 ch-2 sps).
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, [5 hdc in ch-2 sp] 2x, [1 hdc, 5 dc, 1 hdc in next ch-2 sp] 11x. ( 32 hdc, 55 dc; 13 petals total).
End off yarn, leave a long tail for seaming.
Small Rose: Make 2
Color (C), F Hook
Ch 18
Row 1: 1 dc in 6th ch from hook, *ch 2, sk 1 ch, 1 dc in next st*, repeat *-* across. (8 dc, 7 ch-2 sps).
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, [5 sc in ch-2 sp] 2x, [1 sc, 5 hdc, 1 sc in next ch-2 sp] 5x. (20 sc, 25 hdc; 7 petals total).
End off yarn, leave a long tail for seaming.
Seaming Rose:
Start at the center of the flower, curl the petals around each other to form the flower. Using the tail and yarn needle, sew the flower together from the back. Leave a long tail to attach to the cozy. Repeat for all roses.
Attach Rose:
Place the roses on the cozy, small, large, small, across the front. Using the individual tails, sew each rose to the cozy. Weave in ends.

I’ve made an off white rose out of the #4 weight yarn, it is larger than the #2 weight yarn, so I only added the one rose.
