I wanted a nice airy and skinny scarf to wear this season to add a pop of color to my outfit without adding a lot of warmth. I like to wear it as a band around my hat too, and let the flower motifs hang down in the back.
The yarn I used is from Red Heart and is called Croquette in the color Spice Market. It has a thin metallic thread running continuously throughout the yarn. The colors in this are lovely, and it comes in several color choices. They look small and can fit in your hand but have a lot of yardage to them, they go further than you think.

Flowers have been a focal point in my family for more than five generations, we’ve all had a love for beautiful flowers. My Mom has fresh flowers on her table all the time, usually from her yard. I grew up with gardening and tending the roses as part of life, it’s just what we did. The reward was amazing flowers with beautiful fragrances. I try to incorporate things I love into my crochet designs, so flowers are top of my list. I made the Floral Scarf in honor of my Mom and her love of flowers.

Finishing:
After the flowers have been added, thread the 12 inch tail from one end of the scarf onto a yarn needle and weave the tail through the stitches of the short end of the scarf.
Pull the stitches close together and gather them up.
Weave the tail back through the same stitches going the other way.
Make a couple of knots to keep it in place. Weave in end.
Repeat for the other end of the scarf.
To keep the flower petals from curling up, you may want to use some stiffening spray on them.
End of Pattern
Here is the petal placement showing which petals to attach and where.
First flower is joined in the 9th and 10th petal to the scarf end, at the 1st dc and last dc on the end of the scarf.
Second flower (coral) is joined to adjacent flower (pink) at 9th petal to 5th petal, and 10th petal to 4th petal. (Note, 3 petals unworked on both sides of first flower, after joining 2nd flower).
