In this video tutorial I’ll show you how to crochet the Corner To Corner Half Double Crochet Stitch. This makes a compact fabric compared to the corner to corner made with a double crochet stitch.
This stitch can be made with any size yarn and corresponding crochet hook. If the yarn is lighter weight, it will result in a smaller fabric, and if it is a bulky weight, it will result in a larger fabric.

TIPS:
- Can be made in any size yarn weight for different projects.
- Made in Rows, turn after each row.
- Start on one corner, increase on both sides each row until desired width.
- For length, increase only on one side.
- Then to complete the fabric, decrease on both sides each row, down to one cluster.
- A great tip to find the 3rd chain from your hook is chain 3, hold that 3rd chain, then chain 2 more chains. Your finger will be on the chain that you need to work into. See video for demonstration.
- Your current row that you’re working on will have RS facing, and your previous row should have WS facing.
