August Flowers Of The Month
For the month of August I’ve featured my favorite flower finds, Gladiolus, Carnations, Succulents and Roses. Stop by my Facebook and Instagram page on Mondays to see what flower I’ll be sharing. On the blog is the story behind these beauties, I hope you enjoy this segment.

These Gladiolus were a flower find at my local store and they had a lot of colors and were on sale too, bonus. I have fun taking pictures of them with different vases and props. Every year I plant a bunch of Gladiola bulbs in my yard but for some reason they never look as good as the ones at the flower shop. I love the shape of these flowers, so long and tall, they really make a statement as each one opens starting at the bottom and working their way up. They don’t have a fragrance to them but they are beautiful to look at. Â
Did you know that green is my favorite color? My daughter and I were on the hunt for crafting supplies, stencils, pens and paints to make some coffee mugs recently. While we were out shopping we saw these pretty roses. They had them by the exit which wasn’t the best place to sell them in my opinion, because I didn’t want to go back in and stand in line again. These look a bit more yellow here, but they were more of a light shade of green in person. I love the pink edges on these too. Roses are a favorite flower for sure.Â
Wow, look at these Carnations. We saw these beautiful flowers at our local flower shop recently and they caught my eye with their white and pink petals. So vibrant and unusual.Â
As my love for Succulents continue to grow, I fell in love with these, looking like green flowers. My daughter and I were at our local flower shop and in the back they have an outdoor seating area with plants. On the shelf were all these pretty little pots with these beauties. They look so perfect, so many of them looking so pretty.Â
