Stop the car! That was what I shouted out as we were driving through the park one day. My daughter pulled over and I hopped out and went back to take a few pictures of this beautiful setting! Can you see the lake behind the bridge and some nice grass off to the right? Such a lovely background with these gorgeous two toned pink flowers growing in front of the bridge. These beautiful flowers were growing on the side of the rode so they must be hardy! I just love this picture as pink and green are one of my favorite color combinations. These flowers are gorgeous and I’m not sure of the name but wish I knew though.
We took a weekend getaway recently up to the mountains. We were walking into town to see the shops and to go to a small arts and craft fair. On the walk there we found these beautiful roses blooming along the white fence. It was a hot day with the sun beaming down and the skies were so blue and pretty. These beautiful roses were just thriving all along this fence, it must be something in the soil because all the plants and flowers seem to do well there. They are between a red and a pink color and I don’t know the name of this rose, but I so enjoyed smelling these and admiring them. My family had to pull me away from this spot, but it was a good thing because it was really hot out and I didn’t want to get a sunburn.
I’m on a Plumeria kick right now! Ever since we went to Hawaii a few years ago I’m obsessed with the fragrance and the flower. A friend gave me a few branches to plant and now mine are about to bloom, I can’t wait! I’m so excited for my blooms to open and every day I go out and check on them. I don’t have a pink one like the picture, mine are white and yellow.
My daughter took a recent trip to Hawaii and sent me this picture she took, it is my new screen saver! I love this shade of pink with those golden centers and those big green leaves add such a nice contrast around them. (There’s my pink and green again)!
We have a new modern shopping center nearby and they have these pretty pots with succulents in them. I love how the designer mixed the big rocks with them, the colors are fabulous together with the grey of the stones, greenery, and the pastel purple succulent! It’s almost pink and green, close enough, I love it! This succulent is shaped like a crochet flower with the points, at least that’s what it reminds me of.
In the mountains at the hotel we were staying at they had these pretty daisies planted around the grounds. I picked one and put it in a glass in our room. I love the colors in a daisy and the shape of the petals and the circular center. That golden color in the middle is just so pretty! This flower lasted the whole time we were there and I really enjoyed it!
