Crochet Video Tutorial: Finishing In The Round
In this crochet video tutorial, you will learn how to finish your crochet project with a professional finishing technique when working in the round. This won’t add any additional stitches to your stitch count and is almost impossible to see where you ended off your yarn.

Tip:
This technique is used when working in the round, not in rows.
It is nice to use for hats when making them top down, and blankets, granny squares, shawls, or any crochet project that works around the entire edge. It will be hard to spot where you ended your yarn. Follow these easy steps and watch as I demonstrate how simple it is. Let me know if you have another way to end off your yarn in the round, I would love to learn how you do it too.
Supplies:
You will need the following supplies:
Scissors
Yarn needle
Written Instructions:
Step 1: Cut the tail leaving approximately 4 inches in length.
Step 2: Pull the tail through the center of the last stitch made.
Step 3: Thread the yarn needle with the tail.
Step 4: Going through both loops, find the 2nd stitch from the beginning of the round, and pull your needle through it.
Step 5: Going from the top down, find the last stitch made in your round, and pull your needle down through the center of that stitch, and the back bump.
Step 6: Pull the tail gently until the stitch looks about the same size as the rest of the stitches.
Step 7: Weave in the end.
Note –
By skipping the 1st stitch from the beginning of the round and working through the 2nd stitch, you are working over the first stitch, or on top of it. This will not add another stitch to your stitch count.
