Block Stitch Scarf – Free Crochet Pattern
The Block Stitch Scarf is a beautiful addition to your wardrobe. This pattern includes a video on how to make the stitch, and a tutorial on how to make the fringe, which is an optional embellishment. If you prefer to eliminate the fringe, simply weave in the ends with a yarn needle. It’s easy to customize the size and is made lengthwise. Great stash buster and is fun to make. Perfect for gift giving any time of year!

Using your fingers, wrap yarn around approximately 8 inches in length. Cut in half, separate into 3 strands for each fringe tassel. I made 6 red and 5 white tassels on each end, alternating the colors, starting with red. Include the long 8 inch tails with the tassels. This will hide your ends and make a decorative edging. With tails along the edge, put hook through last stitch, pull strands through stitch, put ends through loop, pull tail through loop too, pull tight. Repeat on both ends, trim tassels evenly. If you prefer no fringe, weave in the ends using a yarn needle.
