The Tunisian Rib Square is a fun pattern to make leaving the loops on your crochet hook as you would when knitting, and then working them off the crochet hook to complete the row. Tunisian crochet is worked in two steps to complete one row. I use (A) and (B) to identify each step within a row. Together, these two steps make up one row, so for counting your rows, you need to complete both steps.
The body of this square is made by using two Tunisian crochet stitches in a combination of Tunisian Simple Stitch and Tunisian Twisted Stitch. I love the result of this combo with the rows of vertical lines looking like V’s on the front. Then alternate the next row to get them off set for a pretty look. See the crochet video for the Tunisian Rib Stitch tutorial.
Take a look at the side edge, along with some lavender that was blooming from my yard.
