For the month of October I’ve featured my favorite flower finds. Stop by my Facebook and Instagram page on Mondays to see what flower I’ll be sharing. On the blog is the story behind these beauties, I hope you enjoy this segment.

The Bird of Paradise is an interesting flower. It is often found in parking lots and heavy traffic areas around here and is very hardy. The flowers look like the head of a bird, and have vibrant orange spiked petals on top. My daughter and I were out shopping together recently, and we came upon these pretty plants.Â
We also came upon this beautiful pink and green display. That pink and purple plant is beautiful with the lime green grass underneath it. I love pink and green together, and these shades are perfect for me. Not exactly a “flower” but I love it.
This gorgeous fiery flower was spotted at the flower shop. I’m not sure what it is but it looks like it might be in the Dahlia family. These look so wild and dangerous with those colors and petals! Â
I finally bought a pumpkin this month for Halloween, it’s a small one, it fits in my hand! Then I found some miniature burgundy carnations at the store too. These look like Fall colors together and give off a warm and cozy feel. This is my new screen saver for my phone.
Aren’t these simply gorgeous?! I love how delicate the cream and pink shades are in these roses. I found these at the market the other day, so lovely. They remind me of a summer wedding!
