This baby blanket is part of a special gift for another Red Heart Joy Creator, Nadia Fuad of Yarnutopia, who is having her first child in June! We got together and each made her a baby item and had it delivered to her baby shower, click HERE to see her open all the gifts, you have to watch this. Here is my gift, a blue, grey and violet baby blanket.
It’s made with Red Heart Fleece Hugs yarn, in the color Rattle. It is very soft and a little fuzzy. I enjoyed working with it and the blanket worked up really quick. I used a size “L” crochet hook for this project.
Because of the fuzziness of this yarn, I placed my stitches in the spaces between the previous row stitches and not in the top of the stitch. You can use your fingers to feel across the next stitch to find the gap, and place your hook in the space, instead of trying to find the top of each stitch. This makes it quicker to make and a lot more enjoyable. At least I found it to be. It will leave small holes in your work though. I know it’s hard to see in the photos, but they are there.
