How To Crochet The Primrose Stitch

In this video tutorial I’ll show you how to crochet the pretty crochet Primrose Stitch. It has a lacy look without a lot of holes in it.
The beautiful fabric it makes has a delicate look to it. It’s an easy pattern repeat to make a blankets, garments, accessories and more.
This stitch can be made with any size yarn and corresponding crochet hook. If the yarn is lighter weight, such as fine or DK, it will result in a smaller fabric, and if it is a bulky weight, it will result in a larger fabric. This is a worsted weight #4 yarn with a size H crochet hook.

Primrose Stitch
Skill Level: Easy
Supplies:
Yarn: Red Heart With Love, color Bubblegum
Crochet Hook: US H/8, 5.00 mm
Scissors
Yarn needle
Abbreviations: In US Terminology
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
hdc – half double crochet
sc – single crochet
sk – skip
sp(s) – space(s)
st(s) – stitch(es)
Tips:
- Can be made in any size yarn weight for different projects.
- Made in Rows, turn after each row.
- A two Row repeat.
- Step 3 both single crochet stitches should be placed in the top of the 2nd double crochet stitch.
- Great fabric for blankets, garments, scarves and accessories.
Stitch multiple: 3 + 2
Step 1: Single crochet in 3rd chain from hook, chain 2, single crochet in same chain. The pattern sequence is skip two chains, and make a single crochet, chain 2, single crochet all in the next chain, across. End with skip one chain and half double crochet in the last chain.
Step 2: Chain 3 and turn your work, then make 3 double crochets in the chain-2 space. The pattern sequence is skip two single crochet stitches, and make 3 double crochets in next chain-2 space, across. End with skip one stitch and double crochet in the top of beginning chain.
Step 3: Chain 2 and turn your work, skip 2 stitches, single crochet, chain 2, single crochet all in the next stitch. The pattern sequence is skip two stitches, and make a single crochet, chain 2, single crochet all in the next stitch, across. End with skip one stitch and half double crochet in the top of the beginning chain-3.
Repeat Steps 2 & 3 until desired size.
