I spent the day in the garden over the weekend, pulling weeds, raking leaves and trimming back the rose bushes. I didn’t plan on spending hours in the yard, but one thing led to another, and now it looks great. Ready for Spring bulbs to be planted and maybe a new plant to spruce it up a bit. I just need to feed my roses and I’m ready for a Spring garden.
I found these two little Double Delight roses, the last of the season, before I cut it back. I couldn’t throw them away so in my little vase they went. For now, I can enjoy these pretty flowers and look forward to another season of them. I love the off-white, yellow centers with the red edges. Their fragrance is heavenly too.
I love the colors pink and green together and I also love this soft shade of pink. So when I saw these roses at the store I was immediately drawn to them. I always have fun taking photos of flowers, zooming in to see all the delicate petals or trying to focus on the center and make the edges blurry. I used to be self-conscious about it and worry about people wondering what I was doing, but now not so much. Does it come with age or maybe because I’m quicker at snapping those pics! I picked these roses to celebrate Valentine’s Day! Whatever you do to celebrate I hope it is nice.
It is hard for me to find pretty flowers growing during the winter months, so most, if not all of my flower finds come from the grocery and mega stores. But this week I was lucky enough to find this one growing in a large flower pot. I had gone for a walk up to some stores, and I came upon these flower pots filled with flowering Geraniums. They had red, pink, purple, and coral flowers, all in different pots. They each had a lot of blooms and it felt like Spring around here. I liked this red flower with its vibrant color and pretty flowers. Hope you enjoy it too!
Last but not least are these beautiful roses at the market. All wrapped up and ready to make someone’s day!
