Cross Stitch:
Turn hat inside out. This will become the Right Side. The sc stitches will be lined up on top of each other which will align your cross stitches evenly.
Begin by marking the square dimensions of the counted cross stitch on the hat by counting the number of rows and the stitches and placing one stitch marker on all 4 sides to mark your working area. (15 sts wide by 15 rows high). I place my stitch markers at Row 8 on all four sides.
Add the counted Cross Stitch design by starting from the bottom and work up towards the crown (see chart).
Follow chart to add the counted Cross Stitch design onto the front of the hat.
Color A: Square is left unworked.
Color B: 1 Cross Stitch in each square.
Embellish: (optional)
Add a fur pom-pom or yarn pom-pom to the top of the hat. See: How To Make A Fur Pom-Pom Tutorial.
End of Pattern.
