Be Mine C2C Heart Pillow – Free Crochet Pattern

It’s fast and has a lot of texture to it, made on the diagonal which gives this simple stitch added interest to the final result. This cute little pillow would be a perfect addition to your home decorations for Valentine’s Day or would make a great ring bearer pillow for a wedding. Here we go…

Side 2:
Color A
Follow instructions above for Side 1, Rows 1-17, but do not change colors. Make it in a solid color.
Border Edge: (for Side 1 and Side 2)
Color A
Row 1: 3 dc in the end of each cluster, working only on the side edges of the heart (27 dc each end). See chart.
Surface Crochet:
Color C
Start at the bottom point of the heart (see special stitches-surface slip stitch). Sl st around perimeter of the heart two times. End off yarn, weave in ends.
Sew & Stuff Pillow:
Color A
Place both sides together, with RS facing out. Attach yarn in Color A going through stitches from both sides at the same time. 1 sc in each stitch around, for 3 sides only, placing 3 sc in each corner. Put Fiber Fill inside the open end, put as much or as little as desired. I like to put a lot because it will flatten out over time. Once filled, sc the open end together placing 1 sc in each stitch, ending with sl st to beginning sc. End off yarn, weave in ends.
Lace Edging:
Color C
Attach with a sl st to any corner. Ch 3, [1 dc, ch 1, 2 dc] in same st, skip 3 sts, *shell in next st, skip 3 sts*, repeat *-* 6 more times, shell in corner, repeat *-* around pillow, ending with sl st to top of beginning ch 3. (4 corners, 28 shells). End off yarn, weave in ends.
End of pattern.
