CGOA – Banquet & Fashion Show
Another segment on the CGOA Conference in San Diego. Â Here is a recap on the farewell Saturday night Banquet and Fashion Show. These nice cups were filled with a skein of yarn and a pattern at each table setting. I love the statement on them, such a silly question!
Saturday night was the big send off with a dinner banquet and fashion show. Here is Me, Susan Lutz, and Anne McFarland from my table, both are very talented ladies and it was a pleasure to get to know them. Here we are backstage getting ready for our turn. I’ve never done anything like that before, it was an experience.  Â
Lots of models lining up backstage wearing the DJC Lotus Lattice Top by Doris Chan getting ready to go on stage!
It was such an honor to meet The Jenny King! She asked me backstage to model one of her dresses in the show, wow! It’s part of her Get Squared pattern design, and was very lovely and fun to wear.  I love the off the shoulder design on it and the bottom edging is so full and feminine. She gave me pointers on what to do before I went out on the runway, it’s all a blur! Â
After the banquet was over, everyone was saying good bye and taking photos. Â Me and my friend Lyndall, she’s wearing the dress she made from the Get Squared design, and the colors are my favorite.
Me with Ellen Gormley, she was the emcee of the Fashion Show and did a remarkable job reading our handwritten descriptions on the fly and then adding her own comments too. Â She was fantastic.
It took me a few weeks to recover from the conference, lack of sleep and running on adrenaline the whole time. Now, I’m settling back into my routine, the kids are back in school, and I have a little more time to catch up on my blog and crochet projects.  Â
Thank you for reading.
Have a great day,
