Tunisian Simple Scarf – Free Crochet Pattern
The Tunisian Simple Scarf is a fun pattern to make. This scarf is a great project to get the feel of this technique by practicing the repetitiveness of the stitch. I’ve included some increase and decrease sections to form the shape of the scarf with points and tassels on the ends.

The Tunisian Simple Scarf is a fun pattern to make using a beautiful yarn from Red Heart Yarns called Colorscape. I used two skeins of the color called Shanghai. The yarn has pretty color changes that does all the work for you. You just keep on crocheting and the color changes are subtle and stunning making the beautiful stripes.
This crochet technique makes a fabric that looks different from your normal crochet stitches. Each side is completely different from the other and it makes a nice, thick fabric. Tunisian is also known as the Afghan Stitch and uses a long hook with a stopper on the end so you don’t lose any stitches.
The Tunisian Simple Scarf is a fun pattern to make leaving the loops on your crochet hook as you would when knitting, and then working them off the crochet hook to complete the row. Tunisian crochet is worked in two steps to complete one row. I used (A) and (B) to identify each step within a row. For right hand crocheters, you pull up the loops as you work right-to-left and finishing the loops off your hook as you work left-to-right. Together, these two steps make up one row, so for counting your rows, you need to complete both steps.
