The Simple Pocket Scarf is very thick and soft, and is made with velvet yarn and a large hook. This works up easily, quickly, and will keep you warm and cozy. You’ll want to make it again and again.

Are you new to crochet and want to make something that is simple to remember and will dazzle your friends and family? Or are you a seasoned crocheter and just want a “no thinking” project to do while you watch TV? This is great for every skill level, and the yarn is plushy, squishy, and just super soft! It really makes the project look more difficult, and it works up really fast.
Scarf is made in two parts, starting at the center of one side working down. Then attach the yarn to the opposite side of Row 1 and work the other side. This way, the stitches will be pointing down when you wear it. The side edging is added in a single crochet back loop only pattern, and the pockets are made in this same stitch as the edging to tie it all together. You can add fringe to the bottom edge if you like.
