The Simple Crochet Hair Scrunchie is so fun to wear in your hair. It is full of ruffles with a lot of stitches scrunched into this easy crochet pattern design! It is an ultra feminine hair accessory made in the luxurious and soft velvet yarn. It’s a rewarding pattern, quick to make and comfortable to wear. The other day I had crochet hair scrunchies on my mind, and when my daughter came home and asked me to make her one, I knew it was in the stars that I had to make one right away. I’m so excited about this pattern! It’s so funny how inspiration for a pattern comes along and then everything falls into place. This is one of those patterns.
I had some leftover Bernat Baby Velvet yarn from another project, and it took less than 30 yards to make one. It works up quickly which makes it a great item for craft fair items. Plus, it’s all the rage right now.

By placing a lot of stitches together, it will cause them to wave or ruffle as you continue around the hair band. I love this look as it appears harder than it really is. As you’re crocheting, this should be happening, if it’s not, then you need to add more stitches to Round 1.
