Crochet Tapestry Bag – Free Crochet Pattern
The Crochet Tapestry Bag is a pretty handbag to carry any time of year. This purse has two rows of triangles all the way around, made in basic single crochet stitches. This is a basic design for those who are new to Tapestry Crochet. I hope you will give this a try. Scroll down for the free crochet pattern.

The yarn in this is by Yarnspirations, called Caron One Pound, in two colors of grey. By using the Thermal Single Crochet stitch, and Tapestry Crochet, it makes for a sturdy and thick bag.
The Thermal Single Crochet stitch results in a thick and sturdy fabric. I have another design that uses this stitch, the Thermal Twist Headband. It will keep your ears really warm in the windy months.

This was one of those designs that didn’t start out the way I imagined. I think it turned out very nice and I’m excited to use this bag.
I love the triangles on this design. There are fourteen triangles in each section. I think it would look pretty with a variegated yarn in place of the dark grey yarn too!

Embellish:
To embellish this bag I added a tassel made in the Color B and an angel beaded stitch marker. See how to make beaded stitch markers, watch it HERE.
I ran the string from the tassel through the front to the back of the bag, directly under the row of RSC stitches, and secured it inside. Then I clipped the stitch marker to the front of the tassel.
