A DIY Crochet Video Tutorial on how to make an alternating, three color, crochet chain loop edging! I really love making this and it would look great on so many projects such as afghans, dishcloths, coasters, or anything that could use a pretty edge. I’ve used it on my Snowflake Cup Cozy too. I hope you give it a try.

The three color chain loop edging is really beautiful and can be made on a circular project or even a square or rectangle! Any color combination can be used in place of the green, red and white.
The stitch count should end on a multiple of 3 stitches before you start the edging so you’ll have an equal amount of loops of each color, and it will keep the alternating affect of the colors. For example, you want it to be green, red, white, green, red, white, etc., all the way around. Once you’re done, you really can’t tell where you started and ended,it is really neat!
This edging is worked on my Snowflake Cup Cozy.
Round 1: Color A (Green) Ch 6, drop loop off hook. Add Color B (Red) in next st with sl st, Ch 6, drop loop off hook, push Ch to back. Add Color C (White) in nxt st with sl st, Ch 6, drop loop off hook, push Ch to back. *Color A (Green): pick up loop onto hook, sl st in next st, ch 6, drop loop off hook.Color B (Red): pick up loop onto hook, sl st in next st, ch 6, drop loop off hook. Color C (White): pick up loop onto hook, sl st in next st, ch 6, drop loop off hook*, Repeat *-* around to last 3 loops.
To End last 3 loops of circle:
Color A – sl st in base of beginning Color A st.
Color B – sl st into base of the first ch 6 st of Color B.
Color C – sl st into base of the first ch 6 st of Color C.
(27 ch 6 loops – 9 of each Color).
