Pattern Tests
Last weekend I was fortunate enough to be accepted to do pattern tests for two fun projects. The first one was for Sachets of Love by Maria of Pattern Paradise. The sachet works up really quick and is good way to use up small bits of stash yarn you may have around. First I made the colorful one using Sugar and Cream in off-white along with a multi-colored cotton from Joann’s.

Once I made that one, I started right in on another one in Sugar & Cream cotton in Red and Bernat Holiday in white with silver metallic thread. The pattern can be used in SO many different ways. It’s simple and quick and very cute.
The second pattern test I did was for a cozy cowl by Brittany of bhooked crochet. This pattern calls for one skein of Lion Brand Homespun. I used the color called Colonial, in pretty royal blue. This was also a quick and easy pattern and is a two row pattern repeat. Once you have it down, you don’t need to count or concentrate on it, and you’ll know where you are in the pattern.

Another project I’m working on is a medium size basket.  I’m working on three afghans at the same time, and I need to keep all my working yarn together and organized -instead of in piles on my living room floor.  It is made with jute rope and cotton in off-white. I’ve made baskets out of thread, but never rope. It’s coming along but not completed yet. Here are a few wip photos.
Thanks for reading!
