Moogly 2014 Afghan Crochet-A-Long by The Purple Poncho
Well, it’s finally finished!
My Moogly 2014 afghan crochet-a-long is now complete with border and all. This was a fun project to make and I was always anticipating what the next square would look like. I definitely had my favorites right off the bat, like Block #15 which I ended up making twice. Surprisingly, I ended up liking some squares that I didn’t think I would once they were done.
Block #15 – My favorite block out of them all
Some of the squares were easy and some took more time and were more intricate in design. As the squares were stacking up, I wasn’t sure how it would turn out, but I’m very happy with it now. My afghan is quite large because I used a bigger hook size and added more rows to each square. The border I used is one that I designed.
Here’s the information on my afghan:
Yarns used:
Caron One Pound in color Lace
Red Heart Super Saver in colors Café Latte and Grey Heather
Lion Brand Pound of Love in color White
Hook Size: J
Dimensions of finished afghan: 60” by 90”
Patterns:

It’s very heavy and warm, just what we need right now with this cold weather we’re having.
The next Moogly CAL is starting in January 2015 if you want to join in, you’ll have a new afghan by this time next year.
Thanks for reading, have a great day!
