Lovely Flowers – December
For the month of December I shared some photos on my Facebook page. Â Here is the story behind the photos, hope you enjoy…
Pictured above, white Spider Mums, they look so pretty. I’ve noticed that I take a lot of pictures of Mums, I’ve always loved them. This flower reminds me of the new year, looking forward with excitement as to what this year will bring.
Amaryllis, these remind me of my Grandma Millie. She had lots of them in her garden and would give out the bulbs when they multiplied. They are hardy plants and make beautiful flowers.
Once in a while I decorate in blue for Christmas, this year was one of those years. Here is a blue poinsettia flower, one that I had by the kitchen sink. My husband put up blue lights outside and we had a blue wreath on the door. We did have our traditional red & green tree, but sometimes it’s nice to mix it up.
This time of year it is hard to take pictures of flowers in the garden, not many blooming around here right now. Here is a pretty bouquet from the store, it looks so festive for the holidays with the greenery and berries added. Below are some other festive goodies I spotted while out shopping this season too. 🙂
I love gold…
The snowman looks so happy.
Pretty silver leaves…
Santa!
Big, beautiful red bow! I hope this season brought you everything you wished for.
I hope you enjoyed the December flowers as much as I did and have a Happy New Year! 🙂
