Instructions:
Multiple 2 LKs
Row 1: Ch 2, 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, 12 LKs. (1 sc, 12 LKs).
Row 2: Turn, skip 3 sc, 1 sc in 4th sc from hook (corner made), *2 LKs, skip 1 sc, 1 sc in next sc*, repeat *-* across, end with 1 sc in beginning sc. (8 LKs, 1 corner).
Row 3: 3 LKs, turn, skip 3 scs, 1 sc in next sc, (corner made), *2 LKs, skip 1 sc, 1 sc in next sc*, repeat *-* across. (11 LKs, 1 corner).
Rows 4-80: Repeat Row 3, to desired length. End off yarn, weave in ends.
Block:
The Love Knot looks very lacy and opens the stitches when you block it.
Wet your scarf with water by spraying it or submerging and removing excess water. Lay it on a towel or blocking board. Open the LKs and pin in place. Let dry. When finished, your LKs will stay open and it will be larger in size.
Embellish:
Add some fringe tassels to both ends of the scarf. I made each tassel with 3 strands of yarn, approximately 8 inches long, placing in LK loop across bottom edges, in five loops. See tutorial:
