February Flowers Of The Month
It’s time for Flowers of the Month. Every Monday I share a flower picture on my Facebook and Instagram page, and featured this month are White Hydrangeas, an Orange Gerber Daisy, Pink Silk Flowers, and Lavender Roses. Here is the story behind these beauties, hope you enjoy…

Are these real? Well, these are actually some pink silk flowers that I came across at Michael’s store. I was on my way to pick up some yarn, and the flower section is right up front by the entrance and check out. These caught my eye as I was dashing to the back of the store where the yarn is. You know at the grocery store, they put the most popular items in the back of the stores, like milk and eggs, and at craft stores, the YARN! You have to pass by everything along the way to get what you really “need” and the merchants are hoping you will pick up something else along the way. It works, and that’s how I came across these beauties! I wasn’t sure how these would photograph, but it’s one of my new favorite flower photos.
Next is a beautiful white Hydrangea bouquet that is from one of the most beautiful weddings that we recently we attended. We were lucky enough to receive one of the center pieces. It was very large and full of Roses, Hydrangeas, Dragonflies, pretty greenery and Baby’s Breath. I took it apart and made several bouquets out of it and placed them all over the house. This is one of the bouquets, it looks so fresh and modern. More wedding flower photos to come in the upcoming months.
Look at these gorgeous Lavender Roses! I love the look of a bunch of roses, all the same color, bunched up together! Each one has its own unique look even though they are all the same type. Lavender is becoming one of my new favorite colors lately.
I have lots of favorite flowers, and this is definitely one of them, Gerber Daisies. This orange Gerber Daisy was a gift from my daughter, which was part of a huge bouquet. She knows how much I love flowers. So I took individual photos of them with some beautiful doilies that I received at Christmas from my Mother-in-Law. This doily has yellow and pink variegated yarn in it and I couldn’t say “No” when she offered me a big bag of handmade doilies! What will I do with them? I don’t know yet, but I have a few ideas. But for now, I like to place them in my photo pictures. This doily and daisy just seemed to go together, and is so striking with its yellow center and yellow petal tips, matching the yellow thread in the doily. We have so much beauty around us from nature and handmade items!
That’s all for my February Flowers of the Month. Looking forward to sharing with you next month what beauties I’ve come upon. Here is a pretty flower find from last month, colorful roses. Click Here to read my January Flowers of the Month, and see all the featured flower finds!
