My whole family really enjoyed this crochet bobble beard, and it’s such a fun project! This was a custom request and when I got it made up, my son wanted one too!  Here he is modeling his brown beard.

Crochet Bobble Beanie Pattern by Ashlee Marie

 I made a slight change to it – I didn’t connect mine to the beanie.   Instead, I made a chain loop to go over your ears.  It’s comfortable to wear, and it gives you more options with it.

You can wear it alone, or with different hats.  This would be great for skiing or any cold weather activities.  My son wore it to the grocery store and it was quite a hit.  He also wore it to school and all his friends wanted one!  (I’ve been busy making these in lots of colors).

If you aren’t sure about making a crochet beard, I really recommend it.  It’s super fun!  I saw a girl wearing one who was working at Trader Joes last Halloween.  It actually took me by surprise when I saw her!  So funny.
