CGOA – Shopping Fun
Here’s another segment to the CGOA Conference I recently attended in San Diego. Â Shown above are some of my yarn purchases, along with some raffle items I won. I usually never win anything, it was exciting.Â
Thursday night was the shopping preview.  Lots of vendors with yarn, tools, books, garments, and much more. I met up with friends Jennifer Pionk and Alessandra Hayden and we shopped around together until it closed.
Me with Kathryn White and Susan Lowman! Â We were shopping at the same booth, and Kathryn was helping us pick out yarn colors! Here is a nice picture of us, and it soon took a FUNÂ turn with Kathryn directing our poses…
Next is yarn hats!
Then yarn bow ties! Â We had so much fun!
Doris Chan was having everyone try on her latest design, the Lotus Lattice Top, which she had in several styles, colors and sizes.  She had them all on the runway in the Fashion Show on Saturday night and are so pretty. Â
I met Kristin Lynn in the Master’s Class and she was volunteering at the booth with Doris.  She is wearing this pretty Andromeda Peplum top from the book Convertible Crochet by Doris Chan.
Next is Lily Chin, I’ve always admired her work. Â She received the Hall of Fame award and gave a great speech. I was star struck meeting her.
Marly Bird, does she take the best selfies or what?! Â I asked her for a picture, and she was gracious enough to do the honors, told me where to look, and has the perfect angle! Â I seriously need lessons from her. Â So great to meet her in person.
I wish I had more time to shop during the conference. Â The yarn selections were incredible. Â Stay tuned for my next post on the Saturday night banquet and fashion show.
Thank you for reading.
Have a great day,
