April Flowers Of The Month
It’s time for Flowers of the Month. Every Monday I share a flower picture on my Facebook and Instagram page, and featured this month are beautiful roses, a Gerber daisy and a vibrant succulent. Here is the story behind these beauties, hope you enjoy…

We were strolling along the canals after a nice birthday celebration dinner and we came upon this pretty potted plant. I love the rust colored edges of the succulent and how they put it in a matching pot. This green in the center is one of my favorite colors.
My daughter and I recently binge watched the Downton Abbey series on TV. We were so sad when it ended. One day, while I was at the local nursery, I found the beautiful roses named after some of the characters of the show, and had to get a picture! This one is called Edith’s Darling, it’s a golden yellow, with a light fragrance, named after Marigold, her daughter!
It was early morning when I went to the nursery, and the sun was not quite up all the way. The rays were pretty the way they were coming across the face of this Gerber daisy! Part of it in the sun and part of it in the shade. I love this hot pink.
One more Downton Abbey rose to show you, it’s called Violet’s Pride, named after Lady Grantham. It has a very fragrant smell and it starts off pink and then turns to violet. It’s very pretty! When I went to the check out line, I saw a lady who had two of them in her cart. Then I thought maybe I should get one too, so I’ll have to go back before they are gone!
That’s all for my April Flowers of the Month. Looking forward to sharing with you next month what beauties I’ve come upon. Here is a pretty flower find from last month, purple tulips. Click Here to read my March Flowers of the Month, and see all the featured flower finds!
